We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the Essex Countywide Business Awards 2022. This is such an achievement after only operating for 14 months.

We are a community interest company, set up with the help of the Tendring Community. We were concerned that Tendring has the highest rate of suicides in the United Kingdom. We set out to improve and support those in need of mental health interventions. 

Tendring Wellbeing offers free bespoke coaching, counselling, mentoring and psychotherapy to those in need of mental health support, as well as training in Self-Harm & Suicide Prevention. 

We are supported by professionals from education, social care, and counselling. We aim to focus on early intervention as “Prevention is better than cure!”. We work with couples, families, individuals and in partnership with schools and the voluntary sector to provide bespoke interventions. 

In our first 14 months, we have worked with over 150 people who have needed support. We take referrals from Citizens Advice Bureau, Community 360, Schools, and Summit. Our work would not take place without the financial support of Catalyst in Colchester and CVST in Tendring. 

In November we are launching our Talking Tuesdays initiative to break the isolation of loneliness and provide a warm and safe space for those in need of support.
