Our

Mission

Our mission is to assist and provide interventions to struggling children, young people and families by supporting them using a variety of therapeutic interventions.

We are a community interest company, set up in and with the help of our local residents and multi-disciplinary professionals.

Our aim is to focus on communication in order to facilitate change. By changing our own circumstances and behaviour, our community can help to empower people of all ages to dream, aspire and achieve.

We aim to focus on early intervention for children, young people, families and our community

Our service is partially funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, CVST and Community 360. Our service is supported by a team of volunteers who provide fundraising and group support.

Our Focus

Education

We provide a safe space for children and young people to process what is happening with their mind, body and life.

We provide educational workshops for children and families in a variety of subjects including Conflict resolution, Understanding Anxiety and Depression, and Positive Communication.

We can support young people with issues such as gender identity, sexuality through to anger management.

We have a specialist team available to support SEND children and families. We are able to make referrals to medical professionals based on assessment and ongoing support.

Health

Physical and mental health go hand in hand and we provide various physical activities for individuals and families, such as Walk & Talk through to Yoga.

We provide strategies to support physical health from our physical wellness programme to mindfulness.

Our support includes sleep hygiene with signposting to community support programmes.

We offer a unique service to all of our community.

Community

Our Community Interest Company has evolved from a Psychotherapy service provided for the past five years at a local senior school.

Tendring Wellbeing and Intervention Service Practitioners have worked extensively in areas such as education, youth work, mental health and psychotherapy.

Support for the community is so vital following Covid-19 and we can provide support both in the community and within schools and college.

Private subsidised appointments are also available thanks to the support of local businesses and community grants.
